1963: Broadcast of Television
1990: Stereo broadcasts on all television
Tamil Programmes shown over Channel 8, known as Silurian 8 television
1994 - 2003: Awards won
Under One Roof was the first Singapore Television drama that was nominated for an international award, finalist for “Best Sitcom” at the International Emmy Awards, 1996 and 1997 Asian Television Awards for Best comedy programme
1995 - 2000: Premire 12
Premiere 12, dedicated to Tamil Language as well as English language shows for Children and cultural program
27th September 1995 at Midnight, TCS 5 and TCS 8 beginning their 24- hour transmission
2000: Launch of Vasantham Central

Transmission hours on weekdays: 6.30pm to 9pm

2006: Launch of MOBTV
An online Television service which allows immediate streaming and download of videos on demand
2008: Launch of Vasantham
MOBTV is merged to this new platform
Vasantham is now an independent channel.
2010: Launch of XinMSN
2013: Arrival of Digital TV
Coinciding with the 50th Anniversary of Singapore Television, all free-to-air channels are converted to the digital (DVB-T2 format).
Channel 5, Channel 8, Suria and Vasantham all available in High Definition (HD).
2018: All monologue transmition TV to cease
