Drama - Savithri: The Trial
Tapping on the idea of nostalgia of how Singapore was like in the past. The usage of dance numbers making it more exciting and appealing to the audience by providing a “bollywood” feel. The second half of the series shift to a more modern Singapore, showing the progression and postulating the idea of modernity.
The drama is inspired by the Pulitzer Prize winning novel "To Kill A Mocking Bird". The drama spans over four decades. The first half of the series is set against the turbulent times of the late 60s in Singapore and Malaysia, filled with arousing cabaret dance numbers and the gritty crimes that plagued this period. The second half of the series bring us to the volatile legal, social and economic climate of present-day Singapore.
